In March 2023, we joined forces with Velir, a full-service digital agency, to broaden our reach and bring our data capabilities to more organizations. We are a company where data people love to work. A statement on recruiting fraud

We've been made aware of external parties using our company name for recruitment activities that include misleading communication via instant messaging accounts, and email accounts not associated with Velir or Brooklyn Data Co. We won't ask for sensitive personal information such as SSN, DOB, or bank account details during any part of the interview process. Nor will we ever ask you to send us wire transfers, gift cards, or money. Any communication comes from email address and all open available opportunities are on Velir's website.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are extremely important to us. To integrate these practices on a fundamental level, we have an external consultant review our handbook and policies to ensure they are inclusive and don't include unconscious bias. We also partner with networking groups like She+ Geeks Out that generate opportunities for underrepresented groups in technology and we actively engage in company-wide DEI training from external partners. Our training has included some of the following topics:

  • Understanding social identity
  • Effective listening
  • Navigating difficult conversations
  • Privilege and power
  • Implicit bias
